The Cleaveland House is in West Tisbury, the center
of the Island, equidistant from almost everything, and
ideal for bicycling. The classic gray-shingled Vineyard
farmhouse is on the main road from West Tisbury to Edgartown.
The house is 3 miles from the airport, 6-1/2 miles
from the Vineyard Haven ferry dock, and 9-1/2 miles
from Oak Bluffs.
From Vineyard Haven take State Road 3 miles (up Island)
to Old County Road, left on Old County Road to the end,
turn left (toward Edgartown). The Cleaveland House is
the first driveway on the right after New Lane and a
large boat, 0.2 miles (approx. one city block) from
the end of Old County Road.
From Oak Bluffs drive straight off the ferry, follow
the harbor for about 3 miles to Vineyard Haven, then
follow directions above.
From the airport, turn right onto the West Tisbury-Edgartown
Road. The Cleaveland House is 3 miles on the left, 1/4
miles past the firehouse (on right). Turn in at sign.
